Liz Leberman

Manager, Communications and Corporate Partnerships

As Manager of Communications and Corporate Partnerships, Liz develops and executes organization-wide communications strategies and supports communication efforts across New Profit's education portfolio. In this role, she helps to manage New Profit's brand, digital media platforms, content campaigns, and thought leadership efforts.

Liz joined New Profit in 2016 as a Manager with New Profit’s Reimagine Learning initiative. Liz managed the engagement of the 600+ person Reimagine Learning network made up of social entrepreneurs, funders, policy-influencers, researchers, and practitioners committed to fundamentally reimagining the future of learning in America. In this role, Liz managed Reimagine Learning’s communications efforts and the 2017 Reimagine Learning Convening, which gathered over 150 network members in Boston for two days of connecting, learning, and action planning.

Prior to joining New Profit, Liz worked at Root Cause, a national nonprofit consulting firm based in Boston. As Senior Business Development Manager, Liz managed sales, fundraising, and communications for Root Cause and oversaw day-to-day implementation of Root Cause’s business development strategies. In this role, Liz spoke with nonprofit and foundation leaders across the country about the strategic challenges and opportunities they faced and worked with them to determine how Root Cause could help their organizations solve complex challenges and assess impact.

Liz began her career in the social sector with the Social Innovation Forum, a local nonprofit and social enterprise accelerator program in Greater Boston. As a Program Assistant, Liz helped recruit and select the 2012 Social Innovators and the recipient of the 2012 Business Innovator Award. Previously, Liz co-taught English as a Second Language at Northfield Mount Hermon Summer Session and “Changing the World: Reform Movements, Politics, and the Citizen Sector” at St. Paul’s School Advanced Studies Program.

Liz is currently pursuing an MBA in social impact at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. She received a B.A. in History from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.

A New Hampshire native, Liz spends her time with family and friends exploring New England’s cities, lakes, beaches, and mountains. She loves traveling, skiing, playing volleyball and tennis, cooking, and yoga.
